Taicang Port saw a 5% drop in softwood lumber inventories in October

Posted on November 26, 2021

  • Softwood lumber inventories fell by 5% to 900,000 m³ at China’s Taicang Port which is a drop of 50,000 m³ from September.
  • Overall costs in the construction and decoration sectors grew in October as many projects got canceled or delayed due to power cuts which didn't boost lumber consumption and kept prices weak in China's wholesale market.
