Timber trade in Finnish private forests grew by 25% in November

In November, the timber trade in the country's private forests was optimistic as the volume of timber sales grew by 25% to 5.8 million m³ compared to the average for the previous 5 years.

However, in the same period, the timber trade fell by 12% compared to the same period last year.

In permanent sales, average prices for softwood logs and pulpwood fell by 2% from October but in delivery sales, pulpwood prices continued to grow by 10-12% year-on-year.
