Tolko to halt its Lakeview sawmill for 2 weeks in BC

Posted on May 22, 2023   |

The company declared 2-weeks of unscheduled rest at its Lakeview sawmill operation in BC as higher log prices and a shortage of economic fiber disabled Tolko to run at a higher capacity.

The last day of production will be on May 19th and the operations will resume on Monday, June 5th.

The sawmill’s operations shutdown will remove 10 million board feet of lumber production and 50 employees will be affected by the temporary shutdown.
