UPM Plywood to restructure its organization & scale its operations

Posted on May 8, 2023   |

UPM Plywood is planning to reconstruct its organization and increase its operations to satisfy the low production capacity and the worsening market situation.

In the last 3 years, UPM plywood reduced its production capacity, the company shut its useless Jyväskylä mill in 2020, and sold the Chudovo mill in Russia.

In total, production capacity has declined by 255,000 m³ due to weak demand for spruce plywood and veneer as a result of slowing construction activity.
