US hardwood plywood imports grew by 37% in H1

  • In H1 2022, U.S. hardwood plywood imports grew by 37% in volume and 77% in value. 
  • Indonesia increased its supply by 41%, Vietnam grew by 93%, and Russia increased shipments by 2%.
  • These imports will now be subject to tariffs of over 200% due to a decision by the Department of Commerce, and since the introduction of tariffs in April, imports from Russia stalled.
