US wood pellet exports saw a drop in November

November 2023 saw a decrease in US wood pellet exports, falling to 655,649.2 metric tons from 835,552.7 metric tons in October and 694,035.4 metric tons in November 2022.

US wood pellet exports diversified to several countries in November, with the UK ranking as the top destination at 407,458.3 metric tons, followed by Japan at 123,140.1 metric tons and Denmark at 63,317.1 metric tons.

The value of US wood pellet exports declined to $116.84 million in November, down from $155.47 million in October and $119.99 million in November 2022.

From January to November 2023, the total US wood pellet exports reached 8.53 million metric tons, valued at $1.57 billion. 

This contrasts with the same period in 2022, where 8.08 million metric tons were exported, valued at $1.4 billion.
