US wood pellet exports show a double-digit increase in October

In October, the US sent out 835,552.7 metric tons of wood pellets, up from 796,988 metric tons in September and 750,997.7 metric tons in October 2022.
17 countries received US wood pellet exports in October, with the UK being the top destination at 476,743.7 metric tons, followed by the Netherlands at 125,978.3 metric tons and Japan at 119,128.0 metric tons.
The value of US wood pellet exports in October increased to $155.47 million, compared to $147.53 million in September and $132.29 million in October 2022.
For the first 10 months of 2023, total US wood pellet exports reached 7.88 million metric tons, valued at $1.45 billion, surpassing the 7.38 million metric tons at $1.28 billion during the same period in 2022.
