The deadline for application is 23 March 2023 at 5 p.m. and it may be submitted via email to the Forest Service Regional Wood Innovations coordinator documented in the application instructions.

The Wood Innovations Grant Program makes $24 million of funding available to develop traditional wood use projects, advance wood energy markets, and boost wood usage in commercial building construction.

USDA Forest Services’ request for proposals focuses to reduce dangerous fuels and improve forest health on national forests and other forest lands, reduce the costs of forest management, and boost economically strong and environmentally healthy communities.

The Community Wood Grant Program funds $17 million into shovel-ready projects to establish thermally led community wood energy systems and expand renewable wood energy and innovative wood products manufacturing capacity.
