Vietnam imported $303 million worth of timber in June

  • In June 2022, the value of Vietnamese imports of wood and wood products reached $303 million, and in months, it's a decrease of 5.4%, but compared to June 2021, it grew by 13%.
  • In the first half of the year, Vietnam imported wood and wood products for $1.58 billion and the deliveries grew by 2% over the year.
  • In May, imports of roundwood and sawn timber from the United States grew by 33.8% to 56.3 thousand m³ and value grew by 35.6% to $28.54 million compared to April 2022, however, year-on-year shipments fell by 2.3% in volume and rose 11% in value.
  • In the first 5 months of 2022, imports of logs and sawn timber from the United States grew by 33.9% to 211.29 thousand m³ and value grew by 21% to $102.01 million in value.
