Vietnamese wood exports to the US saw an uptick in H1 2023

Posted on November 13, 2023   |

The US remains the top market for Vietnamese wood products, making up 54% of exports in H1 2023, even though it was 33% lower than the same period in 2022.

Increased construction activity and low inventory levels are driving demand in the US market, especially with the holiday shopping season approaching.

Due to a shortage of homes and attractive offers from construction companies, there is a growing interest in buying new houses, leading to increased demand for imported wood, particularly wooden furniture.

The US economy is showing signs of improvement, with rising consumer demand.

Both the US government and corporations are expressing strong interest in partnering with Vietnam.

This positive trend has prompted major US retail chains to resume their orders from Vietnam.
