Vietnam's exports of wood and wood products grew by 7% in 2022

In 2022, wood and wood products exports grew by 7% to $15.8 billion compared to last year but exports of wood products fell by 1.3% to $10.9 billion from 2021 and total export earnings from forest products soared to $16.8 billion.

In December 2022, the export of wood and wood products fell by 1.2% to $1.16 billion from November 2022 and 19% less than in December 2021. 

In physical terms, deliveries grew by 2.8% compared to November 2022 but fell by 27% compared to December 2021.

The exports of wood and timber products from Vietnam to South Korea grew by 11% to $102 million compared to December 2021. 

With regards to imports, wood and wood product imports grew by 4% to $230 million in December, and in 2022, Vietnam spent $3.052 billion importing timber products from over a hundred sources.
