Vietnam's exports of wood products to the us to reach $10 billion in 2022

  • Wood and furniture exports to the US grew by 22.4% to $8.8 billion in 2021, 87.6% of which was from wooden furniture.
  • Exports of furniture for living rooms and kitchens grew by 12.3% yearlong to $3.05 billion but overseas shipments of bedroom furniture down 0.5% to $2.03 billion.
  • Export deliveries of wood-based panels and floor coverings reached 2.02 billion dollars, a 53% annual growth, and exports of wood chips are valued at $1.7 billion, up 18%.
  • The deliveries to China from Vietnam increased by 25% to $1.5 billion including primary/no value-added products, including wood chips and raw floors.
  • In 2021, the export of timber and wood products from Vietnam to the Japanese market increased by 11% to $1.4 billion and deliveries to South Korea grew by 8.5% to $888.2 million.
  • Exports to the EU countries are reached $619.3 million, which is a 19% increase.
