West Fraser Timber Co. Ltd. is set to acquire Spray Lake Sawmills in Cochrane, Alberta, contingent on post-closing adjustments.

Spray Lake Sawmill specializes in the production of treated wood products and dimensional lumber, along with innovative wood residuals and byproducts.

The company boasts an annual production capacity of 155 million board feet with 2 forest management agreements and a combined Annual Allowable Cut of 500,000 m³.

Valued at $140 million (CAD), this acquisition will facilitate West Fraser's expansion in Southern Alberta and bolster its Canadian-treated wood sector presence.
