Wood product exports from Vietnam set to reach $3.4 billion in Q1

Vietnam is expected to see a surge in wood and wood product exports, reaching $3.4 billion in Q1 2024, an 18.9% increase from the same period in 2023.
March 2024 estimates indicate a significant rise in exports to $1.12 billion, up by 46.3% from February 2024, but slightly lower compared to March 2023.
Specifically, wood product exports in March 2024 are valued at $749 million, showing a considerable increase from the previous month but a slight decrease from the previous year.
Over the first three months of 2024, total wood and wood product exports are expected to reach $3.4 billion, with wood products alone reaching $2.3 billion.
The United States remains the primary market for Vietnamese wood products, accounting for over half of the total export turnover.
Besides the US, Vietnam's wood and wood products are also exported to several other markets showing promising growth rates.
These markets include China, Canada, the UK, the Netherlands, and France, all experiencing significant increases in wood product exports.
