April shipping schedule reliability falls 2.5%, halting improvement streak

Schedule reliability dropped by 2.5 percentage points in April, reversing the previous trend of improvement.

This brings the figure just 0.6 percentage points above the year's lowest level recorded in January.

Year-on-year, schedule reliability declined by 12.1 percentage points. 

However, the average delay for late vessel arrivals slightly improved by 0.31 days month-on-month to 4.74 days.

Wan Hai emerged as the most reliable carrier in April 2024, with a schedule reliability rate of 59%, followed by Evergreen with 53.2%.

ZIM was the least reliable carrier, with a schedule reliability of 44.2%.

Only CMA CGM and Evergreen showed improvement in schedule reliability month-on-month, both recording a 1.3 percentage point increase, while ZIM experienced the most significant monthly decline of 11.9 percentage points.
