The Canadian Pacific Railway (CP) and the Kansas City Southern Railroad (KCS) completed their merger after formal authorization from the US Surface Transportation Board a month ago.
CP closed its $31 billion purchase of KCS in December 2021, winning a bidding war over rival Canadian National Railway, and the new railroad will be called CPKC.
