China records a 14% increase in May export container shipping index

China saw a notable 14.3% month-on-month increase in its export container shipping price index in May 2024.

The average China Containerized Freight Index (CCFI) for the month was recorded at 1,358.71.

The West Africa service exhibited the largest surge among the various routes, with a monthly growth of 53.3%.

Following closely behind, the South American service experienced a substantial 50.6% increase compared to the previous month.

Additionally, the South African service saw a monthly rise of 29.6%.
