CMA CGM announces global freight rate adjustments

CMA CGM will implement new Freight All Kinds (FAK) rates from 1 July 2024 for shipments from North Europe, West Mediterranean, East Mediterranean, Black Sea, and Baltic regions to Australia and New Zealand, increasing rates by US$525 per TEU.
These FAK rates will cover all cargo types, including special equipment, until further notice.
A Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) of US$2,000 per container will apply to shipments from Asia, including China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Southeast Asia, South Korea, and Japan, to Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
CMA CGM will also implement a PSS effective 1 July 2024 for shipments from the Indian Subcontinent to the US West Coast: US$2,160 per 20' container, US$2,400 per 40'/40'HC container, US$2,400 per 40'RF container, and US$3,040 per 45' container.
A PSS of US$522 per container will apply to dry cargo shipments from North Europe, West Mediterranean, Adriatic, North Africa, Greece, Cyprus, Malta, and Syria to the Gambia, effective 15 June 2024.
A PSS of US$530 per container will be applied to dry cargo shipments from the UK to the Gambia, starting 15 June 2024.
Additionally, CMA CGM will implement a PSS of US$600 per container for dry cargo shipments from Turkey, Egypt Med, and Lebanon to the Gambia, effective 15 June 2024, along with a separate PSS for shipments from Europe to West Africa (excluding the Gambia).
