CMA CGM imposed discharge rules on the Port of Douala due to continued congestion
Posted on May 1, 2023 |
CMA CGM set regulations on the release of reefer containers due to congestion in Douala, Cameroon.
These regulations specify that containers can be released from vessels only if a delivery under tackle is secured and the containers idling on the terminal must be moved out.
Under such circumstances, CMA CGM refused new reefer bookings to Douala till further notice.
CMA CGM also demanded that, for containers at sea, shippers must secure the consignee's approval to take delivery under tackle.
