CMA CGM introduces contingency fee for Red Sea routes

CMA CGM is set to implement a contingency charge effective March 1st due to rerouted services around the Cape of Good Hope.

The charge of $1,550 per container will apply to shipments originating from Papua New Guinea and destined for various regions including North Europe, Scandinavia, Poland, Baltic, East and West Mediterranean, Adriatic, and Black Sea.
