CMA CGM introduces revised FAK rates for Europe to US East Coast and Gulf trade
Posted on August 29, 2023 |
French ocean carrier CMA CGM announced a fresh round of revised Freight All Kinds (FAK) rates.
The updated rates encompass North European ports, such as North France, the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia, Poland, the Baltic, and Portugal, and select Spanish ports like Bilbao, Vigo, and Gijon. These connect to multiple North US Atlantic, South Atlantic, and US Gulf ports.
The FAK rates apply to North US Atlantic (New York, Norfolk), South Atlantic (Charleston, Savannah, Miami), US Gulf ports (Houston, New Orleans), and inland destinations accessible via these ports.
The rate adjustments are specific to dry containers, signaling changes in pricing strategies.
Starting from September 4, 2023, the new FAK rates will be in force.
