CMA CGM unveils overweight surcharge for Europe and Mediterranean shipping routes

CMA CGM is introducing an additional fee for heavy shipments traveling from the Middle East Gulf to multiple regions, which includes North Europe, Scandinavia, Poland, and more.
This new fee takes effect from November 15, 2023, and solely pertains to dry cargo.
For shipments carried in 20-foot containers with a weight exceeding 14 tons, CMA CGM will apply an extra charge of $50.
The surcharge will remain in effect until further notice, so staying informed about any updates is advisable
