CMA CGM unveils peak season surcharges across the globe

CMA CGM has announced a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for shipments from North Europe, the Baltic, Scandinavia, and Poland to Asia, the Middle East, the Red Sea, India, the East Mediterranean, and North Africa. 

Starting from 15 February 2024, this surcharge will be $300 for each reefer container.

Another surcharge by CMA CGM is in place for shipments from Adriatic and West Mediterranean countries to Asia, the Middle East, the Red Sea, India, East Mediterranean, and North Africa. Effective from 15 February 2024, the fee for this surcharge is $200 per reefer container.

There is an additional surcharge for shipments from North Europe (excluding Portugal & Spain), the UK, Scandinavia, Poland, Baltic States, and Ireland to the Mediterranean area, Adriatic, Black Sea region, and North Africa (excluding Morocco). 

Starting from 15 February 2024, the cost is $108 (EUR 100 per unit / GBP 100 per unit for the UK) per Dry container.

CMA CGM is introducing an extra surcharge for shipments from Turkey to all West African ports. 

This surcharge, effective from 1 February 2024, is $100 for each Dry, Reefer & OOG container.
