Egypt's exports hit $24 billion in the first 7 months of 2024

Egypt’s exports totaled $24.097 billion in the first seven months of 2024.

Exports increased by $325 million, or 12%, in July, reaching $3.146 billion compared to $2.821 billion in July 2023.

Imports in July grew to about $6.5 billion, up 4% from $6.222 billion in the same month last year.

The top export markets were Arab countries with $8.616 billion, followed by the European Union at $5.972 billion.

Exports to the United States amounted to $1.333 billion, and exports to African countries were $1.255 billion.

The leading export sector was building materials at $5.599 billion, with chemicals and fertilizers at $4.509 billion.

Other major export sectors included food industries ($3.669 billion), engineering and electronic goods ($3.098 billion), and agricultural products ($3.022 billion).
