Maritime employers in B.C. are submitting binding arbitration to end port walkouts after negotiations with the labor union impasse.
$3.7 billion of cargo are frozen, which is disturbing crucial supply chains and damaging relationships with international trading partners.
The cargo includes refrigerated food, automotive parts, critical minerals, fertilizer, and goods.
Since Saturday, over 7,000 workers at 30 ports in B.C. are on strike.
