Posted on April 24, 2023 |
In Q1 2023, the container throughput of Global Ports fell by 48.8% to 186,000 TEU compared to the same period in the previous year, due to the high impact of the first 2 months of 2022.
However, the figure is an increase of 4% compared to the previous quarter, showing a slow recovery in the container supply chain.
The total marine container throughput of Russian ports fell by 16% to 1.09 million TEU compared to 1.3 million TEU in Q1 2022.
The market grew by 8.4% compared to the previous quarter as a result of ongoing cumulative growth in direct vessel calls in Baltics and high demand in the Far Eastern and South bays.
