Global schedule reliability hits highest 2024 mark with 4% growth in May

In May, global schedule reliability increased by 3.8 percentage points month-on-month, reaching 55.8%, the highest in 2024.
Compared to the previous year, May 2024's schedule reliability fell by 11.0 percentage points.
Despite improvements, the average delay for late vessel arrivals rose by 0.34 days to 5.10 days, nearing pandemic highs.
The average delay in May 2024 was 0.73 days longer than the previous year.
Among the top 13 carriers, CMA CGM had the highest schedule reliability at 57.1%. Seven carriers were above 50%, while five were between 40% and 50%.
PIL had the lowest reliability at 44.5% in May 2024.
Ten carriers improved their schedule reliability month-on-month, with Maersk and CMA CGM seeing the largest gains at 6.0 percentage points each.
