January saw a 36% increase in the Chinese export container shipping price index

China's export container shipping price index saw a significant 36.2% increase in January 2024 compared to the previous month.

The average China Containerized Freight Index (CCFI) for January was reported at 1,191.91.

Notably, the Europe service sub-reading saw the largest growth, rising by 74.3% month-on-month, followed by the Mediterranean service and the Persian Gulf/Red Sea service, which saw increases of 72.1% and 40.4% respectively, compared to the previous month.
