In June, Japan's annual exports grew less than expected as a result of low Chinese and Western demand, which continues to weaken the economy.

Exports grew annually by 1.5%, below the 2.3% growth expected but faster than the 0.6% increase in May.

Imports fell annually by 12.9% compared to the median estimate of an 11.2% decrease, and the overall figures created a trade overload of $308.11 million, overcoming the average estimation for a $642 million deficit.
