Peel Ports Group will invest £30 million to expand the Port of Sheerness with a new berth and floating pontoon.

Work on the new facilities will begin in March 2025, with operations expected to start in summer 2025.

The new berth will serve roll-on/roll-off vessels carrying vehicles, timber, paper, machinery, and construction materials.

The Port of Sheerness handles around 300,000 vehicles each year.

The expansion will enhance the port's cargo handling capacity.
