Hapag-Lloyd AG and A.P. Moller–Merks forge a new long-term partnership named the 'Gemini Cooperation,' set to kick off in February 2025.

The collaboration aims to create a flexible and well-connected ocean network with high reliability.

The partnership involves a fleet pool of about 290 vessels, with a combined capacity of 3.4 million TEU, with Maersk contributing 60%, and Hapag-Lloyd contributing 40%.

Both companies commit to achieving schedule reliability of over 90% once the network is fully implemented.

Consumers can expect improved service quality, shorter transit times on key port-to-port routes, and access to premium maritime hubs globally.
