MSC announces enhanced links to JAXPORT and South America

Posted on March 4, 2024   |

MSC has merged two container services to create direct port connections between JAXPORT and the West Coast of South America.

This enhanced service now offers weekly visits to Jacksonville, enabling additional connections to ports in Ecuador, Peru, Panama, and Costa Rica.

By combining existing services, MSC has established JAXPORT's first direct container service to South America's West Coast.

To support this upgrade, MSC has deployed larger vessels, with a capacity of up to 9,000 TEUs.

Operations began at Jacksonville in February 2024, with the MSC Vita's arrival, enhancing trade links between JAXPORT and South America.
