Cosco Shipping Lines, along with other major ocean carriers such as Mediterranean Shipping Co. and CMA CGM, has introduced a new maritime route aimed at Asia-to-Mexico trade.

The newly launched Transpacific Latin Pacific 5 (TLP5) line by Cosco and OOCL offers direct links between China, South Korea, Japan, and Mexico.

TLP5 service ensures transit times of 15 to 20 days from Qingdao, China, to Ensenada and Manzanillo ports in Mexico, utilizing 8 vessels ranging from 4,000 to 6,000 twenty-foot equivalent units.

CMA CGM is preparing to introduce the M2X – Mexico Express Service, connecting China, South Korea, and Japan to Mexico's Manzanillo and Lazaro Cardenas ports on a weekly fixed-day basis, employing eight ships.

MSC will also join the initiative with a loop shuttle service connecting Asia to Mexico, commencing operations on May 15 with the MSC Apollo departing from Qingdao Port.
