MSC invests in Morocco terminal, joining CMA CGM in African expansion

Posted on February 20, 2025   |

MSC invested in a terminal at Nador West Med through its subsidiary, Terminal Investment Limited (TiL), securing nearly 50% ownership.

CMA CGM acquired the other half of the terminal in October, making it a joint project between the two shipping companies.

Once fully operational, the terminal in northeastern Morocco will have a capacity of 1.2 million TEUs.

MSC and CMA CGM expanded their reach in Africa by investing in this key container hub.

The investment reflects the growing competition among global shipping companies in Africa’s fast-developing ports.
