The MSC Marie set a new record with a maximum capacity of 17,640 TEU, surpassing the previous record of 17,312 TEU held by the Ever Max.

The Ever Max had set its record during its first passage through the Panama Canal in August 2023.

The canal authority also made changes to its Transit Reservation System tariffs under the Complementary Maritime Services tariffs.
