NORDEN is acquiring Norlat Shipping, a Norwegian firm specializing in dry bulk shipping of forest products and other commodities.

Norlat’s key shipping routes are from Northern Europe to North Africa and North America.

NORDEN CEO Jan Rindbo highlighted that Norlat’s operations and customer focus complement NORDEN’s business.

The acquisition will enhance NORDEN’s capabilities in project and parcel shipping.

Norlat operates from offices in Sarpsborg, Bergen, and Stockholm with a small team managing chartered vessels.

The acquisition cost is not disclosed and will not affect NORDEN’s 2024 financial forecasts.
