Panama Canal traffic drops as larger vessels turn away

Container, LPG, LNG, and dry bulk ships all experienced significant decreases in transits through both Neopanamax and Panamax locks.
Ships carrying grain shifted to the Suez Canal, leading to a notable decrease in Panamax bulkers' transits from October to November.
Neopanamax locks saw a 25% decrease in daily transits from November 2022, while Panamax locks experienced a 29% drop.
Daily reservation slots for both Neopanamax and Panamax transits decreased, affecting future available slots.
The shipping queue without reservations decreased, with a total queue reduction from a high of 163 in August to 76 in November.
