Port of New York and New Jersey exceeded pre-pandemic cargo levels in May

In February, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) handled 571,177 TEU, the highest amount of cargo registered among US ports.

As a result, in May, the port transported 5% more cargo than in pre-pandemic May 2019 and it moved 4.3% more cargo than the previous month.

The port handled 676,311 TEU, an increase of 5.1% from May 2019.
