March 2024 witnessed a rise in global schedule reliability by 1.6 percentage points compared to the previous month.

Research conducted by GLP examined schedule reliability across 34 trade routes and over 60 carriers.

On a year-over-year basis, schedule reliability in March 2024 dropped by 7.9 percentage points, with an average delay for late vessel arrivals of 5.03 days.

Wan Hai emerged as the most dependable carrier in March 2024, boasting schedule reliability of 59.7%, trailed closely by Hapag-Lloyd and ZIM, each recording 56.1%.

Eleven of the top 13 carriers showcased improvements in schedule reliability on a month-over-month basis, with Wan Hai leading the pack.

Nevertheless, none of the 13 carriers experienced a rise in schedule reliability year-over-year, with PIL witnessing the most significant decline.
