South Korea unveils $9.75 billion plan to upgrade Busan port facilities

South Korea plans to invest KRW14 trillion ($9.75 billion) to upgrade Busan port through 2045.

A new port will be built in Changwon, located 25 km west of Busan, to integrate with the existing port.

The expanded Busan port will be able to accommodate 66 vessels, an increase from the current 40.

The berth length will be extended to 25.5 km, up from 18.8 km.
