Posted on June 7, 2024   |

The Suez Canal Authority will extend discounts for various ships and tankers until the end of 2024 to encourage maritime trade and canal use.

Discounts will continue for dry bulk cargo ships, whether loaded or empty, traveling between ports in Australia and northwestern Europe, starting from CADIZ and moving north.

Reduced rates will remain for dry bulk cargo ships between ports in the eastern Americas and Brazil.

Ports in Asia will also keep receiving discounted shipping rates.

Discounts will extend to dry bulk cargo ships traveling between ports in Mauritania and ports in the Arabian Gulf, India, and the Far East.

These discounts aim to boost shipping activity along these routes.

The goal is to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of maritime transport through the Suez Canal.
