Suez Canal to impose extra transit dues on vessels carrying floating units in July

In July, the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) will charge extra dues on ships crossing the canal taking floating units on deck.

These ships will be subject to 100% of the transit fees of the floating Suez Canal Gross Tonnage unit.

As per Article 26, 2% of the transit fees will also involve every foot or a fraction of a foot over the maximum capacity.
