Ukraine achieves 13% growth in export value, 29% jump in tonnage in 2024

Ukraine's export economy grew by 13% in value and 29% in tonnage, reaching 129 million tons worth $41 billion in 2024, up from 100 million tons worth $36.1 billion in 2023.

Maritime trade recovery drove growth, with maritime exports rising from 55 million tons in 2023 to 87 million tons in 2024, despite Russian attacks on Black Sea shipping.

Agricultural products were the top exports, with sunflower oil valued at $5 billion and corn at $4.9 billion.

The European Union remained Ukraine’s largest trade partner, accounting for 60% of exports, totaling $24.5 billion.

Ukraine also shipped significant goods to China ($2.3 billion), Turkey ($2.1 billion), and Egypt ($1.6 billion).

Despite war impacts, Ukraine's industrial sector showed improvement, with semi-finished iron products earning $927 million and hot-rolled products generating $802 million.

Manufacturing exports performed well, with cable producers shipping goods worth $1.26 billion.
