Unifor members of Local 101R at Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railway (CPKC) voted to approve strike action.

The union plans to strike if no deal is reached by 12:01 AM EST on January 29.

Unifor represents over 1,200 workers who maintain and inspect CPKC’s locomotives and freight cars to ensure safety and functionality.

Unifor and CPKC will meet for negotiations in Calgary from January 24 to January 29.

The union urges CPKC to reach an agreement to avoid disrupting operations.
